English Grammar Notes: Pronoun | The Complete Lesson

Today we are going to discuss Pronoun and Types of Pronouns which will be helpful for strengthening your English Grammar.

Pronouns  are the stunt doubles of the English language. They keep communication going with or without the nouns. Pronouns come in to keep nouns from getting repetitive or when nouns are not clearly known. They do more work than you think, so read on to learn about them.

The term pronoun covers many words, some of which do not fall easily under the generic description of words that replace nouns. There are several different kinds of pronouns, including:

  • Personal pronouns (e.g., hethey)
  • Demonstrative pronouns (e.g., thisthese)
  • Interrogative pronouns (e.g., whichwho)
  • Indefinite pronouns (e.g., noneseveral)
  • Possessive pronouns (e.g., hisyour)
